8C Panel Discussion-Permitting Storage Sites in the US: Lessons Learned and Paths Forward

EPA has recently issued five draft Class VI permits for two geologic sequestration projects in Illinois for the underground storage of CO2.  The Class VI regulations were finalized in 2010 and these are the first two projects receiving permits in this category.  The panel will reflect on what lessons we have learned, what we can do to improve the process going forward, and the implications for future projects.
